The Isabel Baker Foundation was set up in memory of Isabel Baker who was diagnosed with Infantile Leukaemia at 3 weeks old before sadly passing away 8 days after her first birthday.
The charity set up in her memory supports families of children with cancer and other terminal or life limiting illnesses in a number of ways. Their crisis fund provides food vouchers, essential household appliances, tablets for home learning, children's funeral costs a well as other things. Their dry suit fund provides dry suits for children with hickman lines to enable them to safely enjoy the water and lastly their wish list fund provides gifts to poorly children.
The Isabel Baker Foundation are a small local charity that receive no government funding and rely solely on donations and fundraisers. Since they were established in 2015 they have helped over 700 families.
