We strongly believe that everyone with sight loss deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life. We don’t just see blindness. We see far beyond this. We see opportunities. We see hope. We see possibilities, not barriers, not boundaries, not barricades.

Story

Walking with my dream team to include my 8 year old son, Oscar, his Papa Steve and Grandma Pam to raise money for Sight Scotland, where I currently work as a Rehabilitation and Mobility Worker alongside my wonderful colleagues in the adult service team. We are a charity and have been supporting individuals with sight loss for 240 years - making us the oldest charity in Scotland [insert a big WOW…I know right, let’s pause for a second].

There's nothing quite like doing something for someone else to put a smile on their face, to make even the smallest of differences. Even when we’re not feeling our best, if we put some kindness back into the world it gives us some sort of purpose, it helps us to feel better about the world around us. I love working at Sight Scotland as everyone is working towards the same, altruistic goals as me!

Here’s a little bit more about us taken from our website below  ⬇️

We exist to level the playing field, because we believe that everyone with sight loss deserves the opportunity to lead a great life.

Our services range from providing specialist education to blind pupils, to residential care and document transcription to enable visually impaired people to access vital documents such as bank statements.

We know that there are significantly more people in Scotland who could benefit from our life-changing help and we are determined to develop new services to be able to reach them. We have set ourselves an ambitious long term goal: to expand our reach across Scotland to support and empower even more people affected by sight loss.

It’s a bold ambition and we can’t achieve it alone. We know that we can’t increase our impact without your support!”

Team Bromley - The Bromley’s would be so grateful for any donations (it doesn’t have to be much). Thank you 💜

Lots of happy hugs
