We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  This Easter from 6–9th April we're unicycling the Great Glen Way - 118km across Scotland from Fort William to Inverness. We both lost family members due to cancer in 2016, so are doing this to support Cancer Research UK.

Gemma came up with the idea when her dad sadly passed away after his fight with cancer.  She chose this challenge because her dad took part in the Great Glen Paddle along the same route a couple of years ago, and this was something he loved to do. He also bought her first unicycle so it was fitting that it should be included in the fundraising.

This is a massive challenge for us - we both found it a very difficult skill to learn and it's taken us months of practice to get to the level we're at. We’ve come on a long way since we started, but still have a lot of training to do before we'll be ready!

Cancer Research UK is such an important charity, and all their work is funded by donations so anything you can give could make a big difference.  They fund research into cancer and its potential treatments so that, hopefully, in the future people in the same situation as Gemma's dad will have more treatment options available to them and will have a much higher chance of survival.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
