Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started applying for a ballot place for the London Marathon in 2008 when my Dad was first diagnosed with Cancer, I have applied every year since.
Whilst my Dad was going through his treatment he never once complained neither did he give in to his illness, he stayed strong and determined and I have so much admiration for the way he fought. Unfortunately Dad lost his battle with Cancer in 2011. This year I finally secured a place for the marathon and will run it in his memory. I am hoping I will have some of his determination to get me through the 26.2 miles on race day!!
So many of us are affected by Cancer these days, whether it be a friend, relative or work colleague, someone we know is fighting a battle with Cancer, some are victorious and win the battle, sadly some lose. Hopefully by raising as much money as we can to put into Cancer Research many more may win in their battle in the future.
