Jessica Watson's hair chop! · 14 September 2017

Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.

Story

Jessica has spent the last few months having seizures, and after a few stays in hospital and various tests, she has been diagnosed with epilepsy. While in hospital, the staff and support Jess was given was AMAZING! Jessica has been an absolute star throughout her diagnosis, being prodded and poked, and having various tests. She hasn't had a seizure since starting her new medication, which is great news.

Jessica came to me a couple of weeks ago and said she would like to raise some money for other children with epilepsy that are less fortunate than her (amazing right?!), and asked if she could have all her hair cut off. Of course, I agreed! But we would like to raise as much as we can for Young Epilepsy, to support the cause and say thank you for the support we have had as a family.

Jessica will also be donating the hair to a charity so that it can be made into a wig for children that have lost their hair.

Jessica is an inspiration and I am so proud of her for wanting to do this....so peeps, please contribute to such a great cause!

Thank you in advance for you support!

Love Jessica and Gemma xxx
