Story

As many of you already know 15 months ago my beautiful sister, Carie was diagnosed with a rare Brain tumour. To say this came as a shock to my whole family is more than an understatement and something that I will never be able to put into worlds. This isn’t something that happens to us. This is something that you hear about from others and sympathise and are thankful it isn’t you, but this disease doesn’t discriminate and it is us.

I cannot express how proud I am of my sister and the treatment she has endured. She has emotional protected her family with her strength and utter determination to live life to the full. (Her new motto)

I also know how generous so many of her friends and family and been already so although it is hard to ask you to again dig deep, we need to remember that Brain Tumour research is the least funded out of all cancers, although takes more young lives than any other. There are researchers out there that want to work to find a cure or treatment that can have a positive impact on people living with brain tumours but the funding just isn’t there.

As I have said the support has been phenomenal for Carie but there is so much more to learn and I ask that you support me as best you can in raising as much as we possibly can. I will do my best to get round that 26.2 mile course, with the same determination as Carie has to have every single day.

(Nick has decided to join me  in order to raise more money for the charity. Again thank you for your support x

Much love 💙

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
