It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

The group of us have had children treated at BCH either ward 11 or ward 12 for various heart conditions and some of ours children are still being treated.

For instance my son is 18 months old and he has had a 4 operations so far, he had open heart surgery at 10 days old, then cardiac catheter at 4 months old, then open heart surgery again at 6 months old and then a cardiac catheter last month and were waiting for a date for his next cardiac catheter as the last one didnt work.
