Gema and Ben's Bristol 5K Colour run for MND association

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting away. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Sadly this is something that happened to my mother when I was four years olds. She fell ill when we were living in Cyprus, a memory and nightmare I can't escape, at which point we moved back to the UK to get her treatment, but heartbreakingly there is no cure. And we lost her on the 22nd June 1998.
Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life. And in memory of my Mum, I want to raise money and awareness of this charity to help everyone currently suffering.
