Walk for Life 2013 · 12 May 2013 ·

Farleigh Hospice provides hospice care & support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses. With approximately 40% of our annual running costs funded by the local NHS, we rely on the goodwill of the local mid Essex community to contribute to the £21,271 it costs to provide our services each day.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity (no. 284670) providing specialist care, totally free of charge, to people aged 18 and over in Mid Essex. Caring for life is at the heart of their philosophy.

At any one time Farleigh Hospice is caring for around 1,400 local people affected by life limiting illnesses. To fund this care they rely on people fundraising and leaving gifts in their Wills to raise the £7,850 they need each and every day. As the number of people needing their services continues to grow each year, they depend on this help and support now more than ever.

On 12 May I will be taking part in 2013’s ‘Walk for Life for Farleigh Hospice’ and  joining hundreds of other people who, just like me, will be putting their best foot forward to raise money the hospice.

Sponsoring me through JustGiving is easy, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and JustGiving will never pass them on or send unwanted emails.  Once you donate, they will send your money directly to Farleigh Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK tax payer (all you have to do is tick the box!).  So, it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more whilst also saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and sponsor me as generously as you are able so that together we can help Farleigh Hospice continue providing its free caring services in the future.
