We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Hi everyone.

As you are most likely aware from my posts recently
on Instagram a list has been created of 30 things to do for my 30th year
(thanks to Canter crew). I have now decided to try and complete these things
before my 30th on 8th August. There are two things which can’t be completed
until after due to the dates they fall on: the 9th first Friday and wear a
chicken outfit to Garth Brooks (both September). I am going to document
everything to keep a record of this, it will all be on my Instagram highlights
@gemmamartin129 and shared to my Facebook page.

A lot of people have said to me (Connor McMonagle
first planted the seed lol) that I should do this for charity and I have given
this some thought, although there are a lot of small silly things on the list
there are still a few big things like the half marathon under 2 hours and the
sky dive which I may have tried to raise money for charity individually so I
guess why not raise money for completing the entire list.

The chosen charity is Diabetes UK which is close
to my heart as you may already know I am a Type 1 Diabetic. Diabetes UK is a
great charity and helps a lot of people deal and understand their diabetes. The
money raised for this charity can help shape the future of diabetes care. I
have been a type one diabetic since I was 12 years old and I can see a great
change in the range of technologies available to help keep my blood sugars in
range so I know the money would definitely be put to good use to help a lot of
diabetics.

Any donations which can be contributed big or
small will be greatly appreciated.

I would also appreciate if you can share my story over social
media so that we can try and raise as much money as possible for a great
charity

Thanks for listening in.

Gemma
