The British Hen Welfare Trust is a national charity which has re-homed more than 900,000 hens to date. The charity also educates the public about how they can make a difference to hen welfare, and encourages support for the British egg industry. Full information on our website at www.bhwt.org.uk.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am raising funds for BHWT to help them rescue over 60,000 chickens each year, alongside educating schoolchildren about the joys of keeping chickens; working with vets to improve avian health; alerting consumers to hidden caged hen eggs in mass produced products and campaigning for supermarkets and manufacturers to use free-range eggs instead.

Eggs are a great source of protein, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids, and we rely on the humble and much abused chicken for so much, it's time to give something back to them I feel!

I would really appreciate your help in reaching or even exceeding my target, thank you.
