Gemma and her dance partner Andy are one of the 12 Couples who have signed up to dance at Action For Stammering Children’s‘Strictly’ themed Gala Fundraiser. They will be taught by a leading ballroom dance teacher over 8 weeks and will then perform, in front of family and friends and a celebrity judging panel at ASC’s Gala Ball on 17th October.

As one of the team of Specialist Speech and Language Therapists at the Michael Palin Centre I love working with children and young people so that they can find the joy in communicating and live their lives fully, saying what they want to say in any situation. 

Taking part in the Strictly Challenge will be fun and exciting and definitely involve stepping outside my comfort zones. I dance for fun but dancing to perform takes things to a whole other level. 

My dancing partner Andy is fun and always up for a challenge, this time it’s ballroom!
