Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and not going to drink any alcohol for the whole month. As all those that know me will know, that will prove to be difficult not being able to have my spoons wine! :( It is however for an extremely good cause.
I come into contact with patients that are battling different forms of cancer every single day in work, and the majority of the time they are the happiest people around. They spend endless amount of times in hospital undergoing horrific treatment to try and rid this deadly disease from their body. This disease doesn't just affect those people diagnosed but their family and those who love them. Seeing a loved one go through all of this is absolutely heartbreaking.
I know all too well how this feels as sadly on July 23rd we all lost a very special person. Alex Thompson lost his fight against a brain tumour and is missed by all those in his life every single day.
My amazing Granda is also currently fighting lung cancer after winning again bladder cancer.
Not only do I want to raise money for these two very special people in my life, but for all those other people that have to go through this.
One day we will find a cure and people will be able to fight this, but this can only be done with money to go towards research, so please try and spare even just a pound for such a good cause. Every penny helps!
