Story
My beautiful, brilliant, brave sister-in-law Beth died in May 2016 after a diagnosis of aggressive stage 4 bowel cancer. I've decided to run the London Marathon to raise money for Sobell House, the hospice in Oxford who cared for her so brilliantly in her final weeks in May 2016.
We've set up Beth’s Bursary Fund in her memory, to provide financial assistance to help nurses train for palliative and end of life care.
So far, nearly £40k has been raised towards Beth’s Bursary Fund and to date 50 nurses have benefited directly. A huge thank you to those who have already supported us with all your love and donations.
I'd like to add more funds to the pot - the training is long, cold and challenging so I'm hoping you can dig deep and help support our cause, and to help me through those tough 26.2 miles. I'll be thinking of our brilliant Beth all the way. Thank you X
