This page originally started off for my 7th consecutive Ramadan (Covid-19)10K Run (whilst FASTING 18hrs) for the Keighley-based Green Crescent Aid UK. Alhamdulillah I completed this run (read below media coverage):

The cause is  still the same which is to REBUILD/REPAIR of badly damaged homes (from Cyclone Idai in March 2019) for Malawian Widows, Single Mothers & Poor Families (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) - Each House Costs Just £450 to rebuild (metal roof installed, plastering, re-built (where appropriate), repointing & painting) Incl Plaque for those who donate the full amount!

In October 2019 I visited Malawi and was shocked by the sheer mass scale of the poverty I witnessed. Families were living in mud built & straw roofed homes, (which often leak & are damaged during the heavy rain season) they were walking miles to get clean water, children were visibly malnourished with often no footwear and lack of clothes. homes had very few if any food items.

Green Crescent Aid UK operate on a 100% DONATION POLICY meaning every penny goes to the stated cause.

For over 22 years I have Alhamdulillah been at the forefront of community & humanitarian initiatives at the local, national and international levels receiving national awards in the process. I have distributed in person Aid to the Turkey/Syria border on 7 occasions, the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, Iraqi refugees in war torn Mosul (Iraq), poverty stricked Malawi and to refugees in France & Belgium all in the last 5 years.
