In memory of Bill Hawkins
We fundraise for Cardiff and Vale hospitals to enhance the care provided by the NHS

Story

Our brother, William "Bill" Hawkins passed away recently. He had Young Onset Dementia. This was exacerbated when he suffered a stroke during the Covid 19 Lockdown. Since then he was cared for by the stroke ward at Llandough Hospital and through his final days by the wonderful people at Ty Hafod nursing home.

We had no idea how long Bill was suffering with Young Onset Dementia until he ended up in hospital, unable to cope with day to day living. The symptoms then became clear to us.

The money donated here will eventually, through Cardiff and Vale Health Charity, be used by Young Onset Dementia Service/The Memory Team to help those suffering from this horrible condition and help them to live a full life for as long as possible.
