In the summer of 2013, Chris rediscovered a hobby from his teenage years of racing remote control cars. He became a member of the RVRCCC and greatly enjoyed attending the Friday night race nights. In celebration of Chris's love of remote control cars, Ribble Valley held a memorial meeting in Chris's memory. 

The Chris Rand Memorial Meeting was very well supported with funds being raised through entry fees, raffles, snacks, tuck shop and cakes. Trophies and prizes were presented for all race categories by Geoff Rand.

This family orientated full day of highly charged competitive racing provided a fun day for everyone.
