geoff vs Ironman (+ the clock)

Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire · 18 June 2017
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Through my work as a Police Community Support Officer for North Yorkshire Police I get to work with a highly diverse range of people. I have found myself fortunate enough to have met some incredible people who despite suffering from disability in one form or another don't let it get in the way of their day to day lives. The positive outlook they have on life has been a real inspiration to me and the way I go about my own life.
That said everyone needs a little help at some point and there are fantastic charities that offer support to those who need it the most. these charities rely on the kind and good will of the public and so I've decided to try and do my little bit to help them out.
As such I will be supporting the charity Scope by taking on the Ironman 70.3 triathlon at Shugborough hall in Staffordshire on June 18th
For those of you unfamiliar with the specifics this will involve - 1.2 mile swim / 56 mile bike / 13.1 mile run
And as an extra, personal challenge (but not affecting the sponsorship) I'll be trying to break the sub 5 hour barrier.
I have a fundraising target of £800.00 and hope that after reading this you will be able to contribute towards that total. Any amount at all that you can spare will add up and it doesn't matter if its pence or pounds.
