Ride London 2022 · 29 May 2022 ·

We raise funds to enable Moorfields Eye Hospital to continue to provide the highest quality care for our patients and their families and to help ensure it remains a world-class centre of excellence for research and education. With your help we can deliver the best eye care and shape its future.

Story

Ride London is an epic cycling challenge which will see us riding 100 miles from London to Essex and back again to raise money for Moorfields Eye Charity. George has worked at Moorfields Eye Hospital since 2007, as consultant ophthalmic and ocuplastic surgeon and knows first hand the incredible work they do to support innovation, eye research and patient care.

We will set off from Victoria Embankment in central London and into Essex via the historic Epping Forest. Once in Essex, we will travel through picturesque towns and villages before joining a section of the 2014 Stage Three Tour de France route.

Then into Chelmsford before heading back towards central London. Once in central London, we'll then complete our ride to rapturous applause at Tower Bridge – a stunning finish line for the 100-mile route!

Even as seasoned cyclists, this will be a huge challenge for both of us that will require lots of training. We would appreciate any donation that will mean Moorfields can do more to support those living with sight loss.
