Story

In April 2013 my friend and colleague of ten years, Lesley Foster, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Her strength was amazing, never giving up even when her husband passed in away December 2013. Her concern was always for her family and her friends. Sadly, despite ten months of fighting and with unwavering courage, she passed away 06/02/2014.

I have many happy memories of her and good advice that she gave me that I will always cherish. Her bravery has been a real inspiration.

On the 28/03/2014 I am shaving my hair and donating it to a wig company who make wigs for cancer patients, to raise money for Macmillan. CoCo North of Huddersfield have kindly agreed to cut my hair at 6pm.

We are all affected by cancer. We can do something to help.

Macmillan understand how vital it is to have someone by your side when you're affected by cancer.
They are a team who can provide personal support and expert information. That's what they do.

£10 could make a real difference.

It could keep five typical Macmillan information and support centres stocked with all the information resources they need to support people affected by cancer for an hour.

£25 could make a real difference.

It could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

£50 could make such a difference.

Your donation of £50 could pay for a Macmillan Grant that buys someone with cancer a microwave, making it easier for them to prepare their food.

£70 would make such a difference.

It could help run a large Macmillan information and support centre for one hour.
