Hello everyone! This September I am running the London Big Half Marathon for the Medic to Medic charity as well as my Cousin, Melissa. 

Melissa would usually fundraise and run the marathon herself, however she’s just had a baby boy! So she asked the family if someone would run for her and I thought it would be an honour. For those of you who haven’t met my cousin, she’s absolutely amazing! Melissa is a doctor living in New Zealand so Medic to Medic is the perfect charity to raise money for.

Medic to Medic is a small charity with registered charitable status in Malawi, UK and New Zealand. They support disadvantaged healthcare students in Malawi, who would otherwise not be able to complete their training due to the financial burden. With medic to medic funding tuition fees and allowances for books and equipment, these students graduate and continue to work in their communities as doctors, nurses, optometrists, pharmacists, mental health workers and audiologists. I will be running the London half marathon to fundraise for these students and help improve the healthcare in Malawi.
