The Reading Refugee Support Group help refugees and people seeking asylum with legal advice, practical health, social activities and more. 

Octavia (my lovely friend who you can see is part of my team) and I are running a half marathon to raise money for the Reading Refugee Support Group. These guys do incredible work supporting refugees with things like:

- Legal aid
- Practical help
- Education
- Social activities and more

These are people just like you and I (mums, dads, doctors, nurses, teachers, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, musicians etc.) except their homes have been ripped away from them for any number of horrible reasons - a big one being war.

As the powers that be slowly remove more and more state-aid for these people, the RRSG and other organisations like it need more and more support to help these people get back on their feet so that they can feel at home here, after having their own homes stolen.

I've set my target to £400 because this is the amount to fund a case worker for a whole week to provide refugee families with legal advice and practical support they can't get elsewhere.
