On the 10 October 2014 my friend Paul Harrup was taken at the young age of 47 by a rare form of cancer leaving his wife and two young children, one being one of my son's best friends at school.

Paul was a special guy. He always went out of his way for a chat at the school run and he also set up a football club for the boys every Friday evening, which has proved a great success. 

Paul is sadly missed and i'd like to do something in his memory and to raise some money for GIST Support UK.

On Saturday I'm taking part in my third cycling sportive and it's 101 miles around the Rutland area. It's going to be painful......
