Hi my name is Claire and I am Mum to 6 year old, George Exton and his much adored 19 year old pony Willow. 

After seeing some upsetting pictures in his monthly pony magazine, George asked " What has happened to those poor horses?" 😢

Good question! I explained that there are millions of less fortunate horses, donkeys and mules all around the world working in some of the toughest conditions with owners who have very little or are less educated to care for their animals properly.

 Since 1934 Brooke has been improving the lives of vulnerable working horses, ponies, donkeys and their communities that depend on them. They work in some of the most challenging areas of the world to relieve immediate suffering. 

So what can we do to help? #myhackathon. 

George needs to ride 100 miles in 100 days to raise £100.  The childs/ pony hackathon was to ride 10 miles but we thought that would be too easy so we are going for the 100 miles. 

I battle with a life long health condition which might sometimes stop George from clocking up the miles, as at times I really can't keep up with them... Lead rein Mum struggles! So hopefully I can stay well, keep up and smash it in 100 days. If not hopefully his fellow pony friends could hack a few miles to help him out 😊
