As the UK’s oldest and widest ranging national snowsports charity, we give young people with sporting ambitions, special educational needs, disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds their chance. The power of snowsports to enhance and change lives cannot be underestimated.

Story

In 2005 a team of very young athletes began a jouney that took them from the rear of the nations' ranking in Cross Country skiing to leading non-snow nation in 2013. On the way in 2010 they became the first GB athletes since 1994 to compete in the Winter Olympics. Their progress is such that in Sochi our World Cup qualified athletes will produce the best ever results for Cross Country in the Winter Olympics.

The athletes have put on hold their professional and academic careers to train full-time for Sochi. They are well respected by the leading snow nations for their performance progress, attention to detail, technical expertise and good conduct in the field.

To help our athletes prepare and compete well in Sochi, we need your help now to raise £10 thousand by 8 February 2014. All donations will be used to cover the extra costs for altitude training camps and Olympic qualifying races. Donations will not be used for administration.

This is a special time for the sport of British Cross Country skiing. Make the legacy of Sochi a good one for GB, the sport and the future of our athletes.

Thanks in anticipation.
