Story

As many of you know in Summer 2017 my rockstar of an uncle Paul Jameson was diagnosed with MND. In the years since he has been an inspiration to my family, his friends and the whole MND community.  Raising thousands and thousands of pounds, but more importantly reminding us how to live a positive life under the “one life; live it” mentality.

After years of spectating my cousins and friends of the Jameson family run the marathon it is my turn… I should have got ahead of the game and done it many years ago while still relatively fit. Alas 6 years of work life, ‘exercise’ limited to golf and too many drunken KFCs my time has come.

21st April 2024… I will be lugging this body around the 26.2 mile course.

Any donations will be kindly received and continue to kick this awful disease in the butt. Thank you!

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.
