I support  a brilliant charity called  http://www.panathlon.com/ which seeks to inspire young disabled children from 5 to 18 to use competitive sport and fair play as a means of social personal development. Briefly it arranges competitive inter school sporting events for disabled kids of all sorts. I have been to many of these events and I can assure you that they are providing a great service to help these children and young adults develop within the confines of their disabilities.

Panathlon is always short of funds because there is such a demand from the schools as more and more areas of the UK want to participate and funds and resources are always restricted.

The Hilton Hotel at Stansted are supporting the Panathlon charity this year and are holding a fundraising day on Sunday June 6th. Hilton will double every mile run/biked/swam/rowed and they will add this to the total as all the Hilton Hotels around the country are hoping to "Get Around the World in a Day" (24,901 miles!!) All funds raised on June 6th by Hilton Stansted, will be donated to Panathlon. 

Liz and I will be running up to 15 miles. Please sponsor us both to help them clock up a few extra miles (and a few extra quid!) for the disabled young people in Essex by supporting Panathlon charity.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Panathlon charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
