The Spear Programme uses executive coaching techniques to get young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into work, training and education. We focus equipping young people with the confidence, attitudes and the vital skills they need to succeed in long-term employment. It costs roughly £1,500 per young person to provide six weeks of training and a year of coaching. Since its launch over five years ago, generosity to Spear Bethnal Green has allowed us to work with 470 young people. 78% of those who completed Spear Foundation went on to enter work or education, and they were still there a year later. Spear is currently facing a funding shortfall as is at risk of not being able to deliver our next Spear Programme to young people who need it. With your support, we can continue to support young people in East London to realise their potential.
