In November 2023, the South Seattle College Georgetown Campus opened the doors of its first-ever Food Pantry! A small but powerful space built from the belief that no student should have to choose between buying food and paying for school.
Since then, the pantry has become a vital part of campus life, providing free, confidential access to healthy and ready-to-eat food options for students in apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and professional training programs. Many of our students balance full-time work, family responsibilities, and the cost of living while pursuing education to advance their careers. The pantry helps ensure that hunger is not a barrier to their success.
