Story
My mum, Debbie Catton, was diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer in early 2015. Sadly, my mum passed away three years ago after a long and brave battle. My mum was such a positive and cheerful person, even when her illness was worsening. She truly was an inspiration to many.
This summer, I am taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis with some friends to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK, in memory of my mum.
Bowel Cancer UK is close to my heart because I know how my family felt during the diagnosis, treatment and sadly, the passing of my mum, and I don’t want another family to go through what we have been through. Two and a half years ago I decided to climb Goatfell, on the Island of Arran, to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. I raised an amazing £1,200 for the charity, so let's aim to reach the same this time around.
I would really appreciate any donations to make this happen. Every donation, no matter how small, will help fund the amazing research that Bowel Cancer UK does, in hope to one day find a cure. So please get involved and donate. Thank you very much in advance for your contribution to this organisation which means so much to me.
Let's beat bowel cancer.
