Story
I am running the London Marathon on 22nd April 2018 to raise £2000 for Shooting Star Chase Hospices!
Shooting Star Chase is very close to my heart for the support they have given to my friend Daniel! Daniel has a condition which limits his ability to do the things that we take for granted such as walk and talk. Daniel is the happiest of souls who loves music and always has a beaming smile on his face. I first came into contact with Shooting star chase when watching Daniel perform a concert following a holiday club at the hospice. As well as end of life care Shooting star chase offers invaluable respite care for families of children with long term and life limiting conditions. It costs £10 million a year just to maintain the current level of care provided by SSC. Around 10% of that income comes from government funding, so donations are so important to offering families the support they need to make every moment count.
Every moment of my training and through the arduous 26.2 miles on the day I will be thinking of the children and families who have been and continue to be supported by this wonderful charity and the challenges they face on a daily basis that are much tougher than the miles I will undertake. Thank you for donating to ensure that their work can continue to support all those in need
