Georgia's Ongoing Marathon Fundraiser

Brighton Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
*** Update: Unfortunately COVID-19 made the 2020 marathon race dream an impossible reality. Although chuffed to have ran my first ever marathon virtually in October, I'm still holding out hope that I'll get to do it properly in April 2021. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far on my (seemingly never ending) marathon journey! ***
Just over four years ago I signed up for my first 10k race, to fundraise for Thames Hospice, despite not owning a pair of running trainers or anything that vaguely resembled gym kit.
I'd be lying if I said I ran the whole thing...
Since then, I've come a long way to knock nearly 15 minutes off my 10k time and run two half marathons (enduring almost every running injury under the sun, in the process!). That's why, in 2020 I decided to push myself a bit further and sign up to run the Brighton Marathon.
For anyone who isn't familiar with Thames Hospice - they are a local charity who provide expert care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire. Their services include therapy, nursing and medical care, as well as practical and emotional support in their Windsor Hospice and in patients' homes.
It costs £8 million each year to keep the Hospice running and they rely on community fundraising for over 50% of this figure. Your donation will ensure Thames Hospice are able to provide services free of charge, 365 days a year, to the people who need them.
Please give what you can to get me through the hot and sweaty summer training runs - any support will be greatly appreciated!!
