Elsa's Sponsored Swim for The Wave Project · 10 March 2019

The Wave Project is a national charity delivering Surf Therapy. We combine the power of the ocean (and other blue spaces), physical activity and trusted relationships to build resilience, confidence and calm. Fundraise with us and help more young people access early support that works!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am Elsa (aged 12) and I am swimming 100 lengths in a 25m pool every week for a month starting on the 10/03/2019! I am doing this sponsored swim to raise money for an amazing charity called the Wave Project.

The Wave Project helps children from all over the UK who experience difficulties - such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and physical and learning disabilities – by harnessing the therapeutic powers of surfing. The charity runs surf sessions, competitions and beach activities which help participants interact with other children who are in similar situations to them. There are wonderful volunteer mentors who help build confidence and cheer the young people on when they catch that wave.

Please sponsor me because the Wave Project changes lives and puts smiles on young people's faces. It changed my life after I joined their surf programme in South Devon. Now I want to surf all over the world and compete in lots of competitions!
