💙 I am going the extra mile this September for Claire House Children’s Hospice in honour of Jakey Cakes.

I am fundraising for Claire House as they supported me and my family through the most difficult time in our lives. Jakey cakes my brother was born with a rare brain condition called Lissencephally. This meant he had a life limiting condition, but Claire House gave us some of the best memories I treasure even today through my grief. For example joining a sibling group surrounded be kids that were going through similar situations to myself, councillors on hand to help with emotions, events for example seeing Jakey meet Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, swimming in a pool hot enough to not to compromise his condition, having people around him that wasn’t scared of his disability but more seen him as a person that deserved the best, with the time he was given. I will forever raise money for this amazing place as without them children like my brother Jakey would seriously miss out on the best care and support around.

I will be supporting the charities ‘The Extra Mile’ appeal, taking on 60 miles this September - walking our way through the month 💪🏻 Raising money to help build a new children’s hospice in Liverpool 💙

Right now, families often have to travel miles for care. This new hospice will bring specialist nursing, end-of-life care and support closer to home, so families can spend less time travelling and more time together when it matters most.
