Story
Hi everyone,
We are Georgia and Sam, and we’re trekking to Patagonia together in November 2022.
We have chosen Marie Curie to help fund care and support for people living with a terminal illness, and their families.
The challenge consists of walking nearly 100km, trekking between 7-8hours each day and camping along the way. Not to mention a fundraising target of £7,998!
But as an energetic and motivated couple, we’re determined to help crucial caring services, research into terminal illness, and campaigning for better end of life care.
The trek itself will follow the route of the original Welsh settlers from 1865, when around 160 people from various parts of Wales sailed from Liverpool aboard the Mimosa. They settled in the Chubut Valley in Southern Argentina, where a culturally vibrant Welsh-Argentinian population still thrives today in the heart of Patagonia.
We’ll be following in their footsteps while experiencing the world-famous, breathtaking beauty of the Patagonian vistas and raising vitals funds for Marie Curie.
We believe everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left so please donate today whatever you can afford via our JustGiving page. Thank you/diolch yn fawr!
