Story
On April 12th I'll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of The King's Trust. This is my second attempt at a half marathon, and I was originally aiming for a quickish time, however unfortunately and unexpectedly, my training has been scuppered by medical sign-off. Just getting round will be a big accomplishment for me and my problematic thyroid, with only a few weeks of training under my belt following 2 months off any form of exercise.
Whilst it won't be the race I had originally anticipated, fundamentally the opportunity to raise money for The King's Trust is at the core of it all, so any support no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated!
The King’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background or the challenges they are facing. They help those from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.- £10 could fund a call to our helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person gain the critical advice they need- £40 could provide a young person in poverty with interview clothes to help them secure stable employment
