Story

I'm doing some more fundraising for Anthony Nolan (obviously). As most of you probably know (because I post about it and invite people to events constantly) I'm on the committee for Brighton & Sussex Marrow, the student network of Anthony Nolan. In April the committee and some of our amazing volunteers are taking part in Rough Runner (think total wipeout vibes). We're incredibly proud of all the work we've done this year to raise almost £3,000 and recruit over 90 lifesavers to the stem cell register but the year isn't over yet and I'd love your help to do even more. This is going to be a massive challenge for me due to recent changes in my health, but I am SO passionate about what we do and I know the massive difference it makes. If you are under 30 and would like to sign up to the stem cell register you can do so here: anthonynolan.org/SussexMarrow or if you are over 30 please check out DKMS. Donate anything you can using the link attached and please share!

Brighton&Sussex Marrow is a part of the network of lifesaving students who work with the blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. There are over 50 Marrow groups, with hundreds of student volunteers (like us!) in universities across the country, who are all working towards one thing - saving the lives of people with blood cancer.Every 14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. For someone with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant could be their last chance of survival. At Anthony Nolan, we match incredible people willing to donate their stem cells, to people with blood cancer who are in desperate need of a lifesaving transplant.Marrow now recruit one in four people who go on to donate stem cells, which means hundreds of lives are potentially saved by Marrow's incredible work.It costs £40 to add each potential lifesaver to the stem cell register.Every penny and every pound that Brighton&Sussex Marrow raises will help to continue saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
