The UK Wild Otter Trust (UKWOT) is a charity dedicated to promoting a positive understanding of otters & their conservation in the UK. We rescue, rehabilitate and release orphaned otter cubs back into the wild.

Story

🌟We achieved our £50 target and have raised the bar! Thank you for sponsoring us! 🌟 £100 new target for the Otters❤️

Whilst on a nature walk with my nieces at our Local Nature Reserve, I asked if they knew what an otter looked like. Their answer of no, was soon  launched into immediate love when I showed them a photo of Tolga.

Telling them of his story and how kind humans have helped him and many otters, to get better  and how in most cases animals were released back into the wild... my nieces were worried that money may run out for the otters who need help.

They wanted to do something for Tolga and his friends.

The remainder of our walk involved discussing ideas as we looked for signs of otters. To see their keen interest ignited by reading otter tracks, spotting spraints and appreciating these creatures assured me they were determined.

And they are. My nieces will be doing 10 laps around 2 old fishing lakes to a total distance of just over 10 miles!

They have also written to their head teachers asking to hold a poetry and drawing competition at school, to help their fundraising as part of 'Ottertober'

Please consider sponsoring these 2 little folk eco- warriors whom I love emensely and whom I am extremely proud of.

Thank you
