We provide vital care and support to people living with a progressive illness

Story

This year marks 10 years since my father passed away from cancer. On Saturday 5th September 2020 I will set off on a 200 mile ride from Home to Holkham Beach over 7 days.

I wanted to do a memorable fundraising event to raise as much money as possible for the St Elizabeth Hospice. Their care, supportiveness and generosity allows families to be there to support their loved ones during their final days, hours and minutes. Without them, Daddy wouldn't have been in a relaxed environment surrounded by family and friends (and the dog!). They work around the clock to provide specialist care and support when it is needed the most. To run the hospice, it costs them £10.5 million every year. That's £20 a minute, to provide invaluable care and support. Every donation you make can have such a difference to this independent charity.

I will be riding along the coast of Suffolk and Norfolk. It will take me 7 days and I will be finishing on Holkham Beach on Friday 11th September.

About the charity

St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.
