Story

Hi everyone

Thank you very much for sponsoring me. It was a hard work but is a fantastic feeling to have achieved what we set out to do.

Our challenge was to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and , the highest peaks in , and , in 24 hours. We set off from the base of at 4.20 on Saturday afternoon (10th July), and despite hideous weather (horizontal rain and a lot of time spent in cloud) we made good time, returning to the car in 5 hours. We then drove to , arriving at 3.30am, in the dark and again in bad weather with fog to add to the difficulties. This was the most challenging climb as the navigation was far more complicated and it was very windy as we neared the top. Returning to the car 4.5 hours later, we quickly got in as it was still raining and began the journey to for our last climb. Arriving at at 1.00pm we saw the sun for the first time. We were under pressure as to complete the challenge we had to be back at the base by 4.20, giving us 3 hours 20 mins to reach the summit and return. We were thrilled that we managed to achieve this. Overall we ascended and descended over 2940m in the 24 hours.

Thank you very much for your support, Georgina x
