Story

I am taking part in the Cure Parkinson's Trust's first ever Festival or Running, Run Local, to raise money for research to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson's.

My darling Grandaddy had Parkinson’s and The Cure Parkinson's Trust has since become a very special charity for our family to support. With 2020 affecting so many, charities included, and Gran Gran passing away, this felt like the best time to take on a challenge for CPT.

I am not a natural runner, but one positive out of this crazy year is the fact that I’ve taken to exercise. So in the Run Local event I am going to run 5K a day over a week. Why you ask?? Because it’s good for me, but mostly because every penny raised goes towards finding a cure for this debilitating disease.
