Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who know my family will know that our lives have changed a lot over the past 2 years. My dad was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and has been learning to adapt to a new way of living.
For those who don't know much about MND it is a rapid progressing disease which affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. It can leave people unable to move, talk and swallow.
We have been lucky enough to receive support from the MNDA with funding towards things like a remote control chair for helping him to get up and down and a voice bank for when he will struggle to talk.
I have decided that I want to do some fundraising myself to give back to the association. Over the next few months leading up to the wing walk I will be completing various fundraisers to try to raise money for MNDA finishing with the wing walk. The first challenge I will be completing is attempting to do 100,000 steps in a day followed by cycling the distance of London to Paris in March.
