Story
The Rosemary Foundation are an amazing bunch of people. An incredible team of qualified nurses provide end of life care in your home, provide respite day and night, counselling and are on call 24/7, for free. Which is why I'm taking on The Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for them.
The Rosemary Foundation helped my family as my Dad came to the end of his life. A nurse visited morning and night, she looked after my family as well as my Dad and she made us smile. We looked forward to her visiting because it was such a relief, we trusted her and she gave us space to breath.
An epic challenge for an epic charity.
I hope the money I raise will help to keep sending out these amazing nurses to anyone who needs them.
So. On Saturday 21st September and roughly 5am I will begin The National Three Peaks Challenge taking on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. I will be trekking for around 18 hours during the challenge, covering over 28 miles of undulating terrain. That's a full marathon distance worth of walking, but with three...hills. Ascending a total of 3000m In a single day, almost the same amount of ascent as summiting Kilimanjaro!
My best friend Hetty will be by my side and she will be raising money for The Williams Syndrome Foundation. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hetty-smith1
I will be so, so grateful for any support you can offer in the way of fundraising. The Rosemary Foundation are very dear to me. I'm self funding this challenge so every, single, penny raised goes straight to them.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of that. Keep checking back for updates on my challenge training and fundraising progress!
Lot's of love,
G ^_^
