MacMillan Cancer Support helps those affected by cancer.  They provided care and support for my family whilst my Grandad was fighting his battle against cancer.  For my Grandad the MacMillan nurses supported not only him but my Grandma to understand they don't have to face cancer alone. After understanding how much of a benefit Macmillan really was for my family, I want to help them do what they do for more people. 

Therefore, on 3rd April this year (the day after my Grandad's birthday), I will be running my first official Half Marathon as I'm taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon with my housemate to raise a target of £350.  

I wanted to set out and do something that would not only challenge me physically but mentally too.  To set myself a goal with a purpose and value, to me and my family personally, will give me a drive to get through the 6am runs.
