We know that the arts can change lives, and it is where we turn for entertainment, respite and inspiration! Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is a world-renowned arts and education charity. We enable talented people, no matter their background or age, to become the creators and makers of tomorrow.

Story

Gerard loved the theatre, and he loved young people. He spotted talent and encouraged it wherever he could. He helped to train many dozens of young people who wanted to take their first steps towards professional acting careers, by coaching them as they auditioned for drama school.

The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School has kindly agreed to use any funds we raise now, to create a scholarship in Gerard's name. The scholarship will be given to a worthy drama student starting at BOVTS in 2013 (one of the first years when all UK drama school students face £9000/year fees).

Together, we can help continue Gerard's spirit of encouraging talented young people to tread the boards.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to BOVTS (who will keep the Gerard Gould memorial fund in a separate account) and will make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Together we can raise more in Gerard's memory.
