Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page set up in memory of our son Gerry (camel) Doyle. Gerry passed away on 13 May 2016, aged 28 years.

The background.
Gerry was a fit and healthy young man until he suddenly became unwell and just did not get better. He battled for 8 years with the medical community mostly researching and diagnosing his own conditions and educating the experts on the way. He earned the respect of highly regarded professors.
Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and an associated condition Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) were core conditions that had a huge impact on Gerry’s quality of life.
We chose Ehlers Danlos Support UK as our fund support charity because of the great work they do to support sufferers and educate the medical community.

The future.
We intend to maintain focus on this page, not just in Gerry's memory but also to continue to raise funds for further research into this hereditary genetic disease,

How it works.
