Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust's vision is for a county rich in wildlife that is understood, valued and sustained by the organisations, people and communities living here. We have over 60 nature reserves, educate over 3,000 children and have more than 28,000 members and 500 volunteers.

Story

After a year off from endurance events, I'm back to high mileage targets to support wildlife causes close to my heart.

Through my job role as a Forest Ranger, I have opportunities for up close working relations with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. I see first hand many of the proactive conservation initiatives that they implement across the forest. Managing reserves and enhancing & linking habitats is a costly business. Yet without this front line work, wildlife across the county would be under even more pressure than it currently is.

My fundraising this year is intended to provide a little injection of cash for reserve management across the county. I understand that it's a fraction of the funds that are needed but every little helps!
