It was all a bit emotional yesterday after Boston....the minute silence in the sunshine at the start was eerie with 37,000 people and all one could hear was the birds singing. Strange week showing the best and worst of people..

Even after 10 London Marathons, the goodwill amongst the runners, the vast majority running for charity, and in the amazing crowd is breathtaking.

Not that it matters in context, I was happy with my 4.00 time....I had treatment on Saturday for a nagging hamstring which I had to manage on the day.

Running is (relatively!) easy ..for me the real heroes are the Age UK carers who give their time every day to old people who need help and company.
