John's Stealth Promotions Boxing Camp · 4 June 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm John Grimshaw and I'm fat. There I've said it. I need to lose around 12kg, thats around 2 stone, to be at what is classed as an "almost" healthy weight for my height.
I'm doing this because my fear of being punched in the face will spur me to lose weight and get fitter and faster.
I need to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship money, sell 15 seats at the arena and lose 2 stone to qualify to fight. I also have to be able to prove my prowess in the ring. Over the next 8 weeks I have to learn how to host a reasonable attack (important) defend myself from a reasonable attack (more important), and be able to do this for 3 rounds without passing out (most important). If any of you know me this is going to be a mammoth test.
I had my first weigh in on the 4th of June at 18st 8lb or 118kg. That’s about 1.5kg/3.3 lb per week to reach my target weight of 16st 6lb or 106kg.
For every donation I will be putting your name in a raffle to win the oportuity to select my fighting name. This is where you can either help or hinder me in my road to greatness.
Some suggestions so far :-
Powerful - John "The Growler" Grimshaw, "One Bomb" John Grimshaw, you get the theme here, something to strike the fear into my opponent.
Not-So-Powerful - John "The Fairy" Grimshaw, "Fat Boy" Johnny G, again, not exactly setting me up for the win here.
Its not up to me, the power is in your hands, donate and comment with your suggested stage name and I will add these to a bucket of all donators and pick a winner at random.
I will also be raffling off my walk in music for people who buy tickets for the event on the 30th of July.
You can get updates on here, but also follow my Blog at www.leanintodesign.com where I will be doing weekly updates with photo's of my progress.
