We have created a regional step challenge across our North East and Cumbria business team to support The Chronicle Sunshine Fund. The charity is a North East charity which enhance the lives of local children living with disabilities by funding specialist equipment to meet their needs. The charity has been adversely impacted this year by COVID as they rely solely on donations and fund raising events.

We as a team want to show our support and are pledging to get 5089920 steps between us over a 3 week period starting 28/11/2020 this has been calculated on the number of steps it would take us to reach Korvatunturi in Lapland from our office in Newcastle 2410 miles. 

We appreciate this has been a difficult year for many of us and is already an expensive time so we would appreciate any donation no matter the size to enable us to give something back to such a fantastic charity. 

As the dark nights are upon us and the temperature is dropping we will use every opportunity to get our steps in should that be on a morning before work, taking calls through the day on the go, stepping through our lunch or heading out on a night with our head torches. The challenge will finish on 22nd December by which time we should have reached our destination (virtually) and made it to Santa before he heads off on his sleigh!
